Texting Service

We utilise a texting service to remind patients that they have an appointment and those patients who have not opted out of the texting service will receive text reminders on their mobile phones. We will never in any of our texts include any personal information. This service has been very useful in helping decrease the amount of appointments that patients fail to attend.

Please ensure that you inform the Practice if you change your mobile phone number to enable us to update our records.

You can at any time opt out of the texting service, please inform a member of our Reception Team if you wish to do so.

Disabled Access

The surgery is accessible to patients using a wheelchair. We are planning to improve our reception area to improve the service we provide for patients with a disability. We also have a parking space reserved for patients displaying a disabled sticker.

Are You A Carer

A carer is someone of any age, who, without payment, provides help and support to a partner, child, relative, friend or neighbour, who could not manage without their help. This could be due to age, physical or mental illness, addiction or disability.

A Young Carer is a child or young person under the age of 18 carrying out significant caring tasks and assuming a level of responsibility for another person, which would normally be taken by an adult.

Brookvale practice recognizes that there are lots of people who care for others with day to day needs on a regular basis and often go unrecognized as a carer.

If you do provide regular care to somebody and are not already registered as a carer then  please inform one of our receptionists who can provide you with a Halton Carers referral form and information on services that you may be entitled to. We also have a notice board in practice dedicated to Carers located in the waiting room, please take a look for further information.
